Project Outline

500m of 900mm CPP and 165m of 1200mm CPP Watermain installed in a 83” diameter Rib and Lagged tunnel in changing (variable) soil conditions and shale seams (mixed face) with a high groundwater table. This was a subcontract to Varcon construction. The job was completed by our own forces on time in 8 months.

Shaft Descriptions

The job had 4 shafts of rib and lagging construction ranging in diameter from 6.7 to 8.38m and 8.5 to 11.5m deep.
